If you are lucky enough to have a back garden with trees, it’s always worth keeping them in check to keep the tree healthy, and avoid any problems with annoying the locals! Some trees, like blossom and various fruit trees will also flower much more if they are kept trimmed and maintained regularly. I will be attempting to increase the volume of gardening tips posts throughout the rest of the year, to coincide with improving weather over

Some trees will flower more succesfully with regular maintenance
I would recommend doing some research on the type of tree you have in the garden and find out the best way to manage it, as some will require quite specific care to keep them healthy. In terms of maintenance, you can cut most low hanging branches off with a pair of sekators or a hand saw. For bigger projects, or higher up branches you will be better off with a chainsaw and a solid A-frame ladder. Always choose a chainsaw based on its managability, bigger does not equal better in this instance.
By trimming some of the weaker branches and sub-branches, you will ensure that the main tree itself remains stronger throughout the rest of the year. You can achieve this with even the most basic gardening tools.
With soft ground, and grass as a base for your ladder, please take extra care with securing your work platform and making sure everything is steady. Wobbling ladders and chainsaws don’t mix.

Great tips, thanks… we have an out of control blossom tree that needs taming!
